It’s The Middle Class Stupid!

So ponder me this grasshopper … As we all know the government not only help the poor but they also help the rich. Their theory being that it is the rich who create companies thus creating jobs but I beg to differ. It’s not the rich who create huge companies it’s always been the the middle class. How rich do you suppose Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were not to mention the hundreds of other middle class people who also started great companies with very little money. The rich usually only get involved in a company by buying it not creating it, and they fire employees not hire them. There’s gotta be some other reason why the Democrats and Republicans who agree on very little both believe the wealthy still need their help.

Speaking of the middle class most politicians must not have any middle class friends so they only get to stay at rich people’s homes when they come to town.

If you married your first choice your likely having a pretty good life. If you didn’t you probably have a pretty good idea of what prison feels like.

Much as I admire the NFL experts (former players) trying to cover for Richard Sherman by claiming his comments on TV were made in the heat of the moment. Unfortunately they’re full of s**t coz victory doesn’t produce rage it produces joy! I think the Seahawks are going to be so busy arguing with each other during the Super Bowl about whose the best that they are going to miss the game winning touchdown as Peyton lobs the ball over the Shermster’s head right into Welker’s waiting arms to win the game. This pass will achieve several things one of them being putting Peyton in the “Hall but will also block his baby Brother Eli from getting in because the committee will figure there are enough Mannings in there already. They will also be relieved that Sherman blew it because they weren’t looking forward to his acceptance speech.

Speaking of Peyton Manning I must be a genius because I managed to figure out a long time ago that he was one of the very best without him ever telling me so.

The one positive thing that Robert Sherman has done for the big game though is line up some more fans for Denver who may have been totally disinterested in the Super Bowl because they didn’t have a dog in the fight but they sure do now.

Seeing as the Democrats and Republicans both have their crazies you can only imagine how many crazies there must be in Canada where there are even more Political parties.

Few people who live in the USA realize America is not a Democracy it’s a Republic.

It must be horrific to wake up one day and discover it’s too late to become whatever you always wanted to be.

Human beings are the only species on earth stupid enough to give up what they cherish the most out of pride.

I wonder if we turned out anything like Mother Nature had in mind.

Two of your strongest instincts do battle with each other everyday. One wants to impart advice the other tends to resist listening to it. Which one wins the battle decides who and what you are.

Contrary to popular opinion the opposite of play is not work … It’s depression!

We really have to take a little time away from all the whiners for a moment or two so we may applaud the achievers and doers who seek nothing from us but opportunity.

Doing countless little things usually adds up to doing something that really counts.

The ability to stay focused when a beautiful Woman walks in the room qualifies you to achieve everything you want from life except her.

God didn’t invent Religion, Man did!

I’m a lot better at being the other guy than I am at being the guy. When I’m the guy I spend a way too much time worrying about who the hell the other guy is.

There’s nothing special about being a minority only some special people are special.

Money always trumps Art. It’s the people who figure out how to sell the Art that make all the money, not the people who create it.

Going from failure to failure eventually leads to victory as that will be all that’s left.

If your ship is taking too long to come in you may want to row out and get it.

You had to have been somebody in order to make a comeback.

When the Righteous Brothers recorded “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” the writers Mann and Weil didn’t have an ending so Phil Spector came up with … Whoah whoa ho! He shares 1/3 of the writer’s royalties from the 28 million collected so far. Now that’s what I call a big ending.

Inside all of us lives a much younger person wondering what the hell went wrong!

I never knew how racist Harry Belafonte was until I watched him induct Public Enemy into the Rock & Roll Hall of fame.

Are politicians the best in the world at taking full responsibility of a situation that happened on their watch while accepting absolutely no blame.

Speaking of politicians, Brent Farris claims that whenever you see a Congress Man on TV even if you can’t hear what he’s saying you just know it can’t be good.

Most people work so hard preparing for failure that they miss the victory party.

No action is a hell of a lot more expensive than any action is.

Somebody else is always standing by ready to grab up all of your missed opportunities.

Boy the Colts and the Saints sure sucked didn’t they.

But The 49rs and Manning in Denver showed them how it should be done.

Beautiful Women only fear one thing … Young Women!

Men are a lot more selective than we appear to be but still no where near as selective as Women are.

Seeing as the past and the future don’t exist you might as well live in the “Now”

If your station isn’t getting any listener complaints then I guess boring would be the perfect word used to describe your current sound.

In 1927 H M Warner of Warner Brothers said … Who the hell wants to hear the actors talk! I think he’s in Radio now.

Have you noticed they never use the word genius to describe government workers including our President.

Speaking of government they must be the only ones who believe the press releases from the oil companies, banks and pharmaceuticals.

The best location for the studios of a Radio Station are where the morning man gets to bring the listeners to work and the afternoon drive person gets to send them back to the burbs.

As quickly as cars nowadays go from 0 – 60 why the hell does it take so long to move after the light goes green.

Speaking of lights going green that’s why they put horns in cars so the driver behind you can alert you when to stop texting.

The easiest ratings to get are by simply turning people who like you into people who love you.

Radio also needs to turn hearing into listening which the PPM device doesn’t measure but revenue sure does.

You are absolutely right if you think you can or cannot!

Women tend to be a lot more current than Men.

 

 

 

Magical Names!

A lot of the “magic” heard on WNAP in Indianapolis may have come from the Buzzard Boys names … Moto, Buster, Booger, Boomer, Fast Freddy, Adam Smasher, Major Tom, Big John, General Billy Patton, Panama Jack and Benevolent Bill.The magical part was they all sounded just like their names.

Speaking of names that conger up magic, Phil Everly’s voice will sing no more. Whew, what an influence he and his Brother Don were on a lot of the legendary artists who along with them are in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

The most used word in the tunes from the early days of Rock & Roll was … “WELL”

The staff and players of the Miami Dolphins are all overpaid. It was pathetic watching them stumble around for the last two weekends and once again it looks like we will continue to be in yet another rebuilding decade.

As much as I admire the Saints Drew Brees he’s not as smart as Tom Brady. Tom would rather win Super Bowls than be the highest paid player in the NFL like he should be. Unlike Tom, Drew will never be in another Super Bowl ’cause he took all the money.

I don’t think smart is a word used very often to describe an NFL player but they sure can dance can’t they.

Marriage is a great motivator for a Man’s career but I’m not so sure it’s good for a Woman’s

No matter how slow any forward motion is good motion.

Rich Stevens claims we all believe in freedom of speech until someone says something we don’t like.

The only things that happen naturally are usually things you don’t want to happen at all.

Wouldn’t it be good if because it sounded good, it was good!

I watching a HBO series called Treme set in New Orleans 3 months after Katrina and even though the script writing is on the side of the po’ folk but it’s easy to watch this and figure out that the people, the cops and the government were and still are, all wrong.

Speaking of poor folk, in this same series they act like the white people in New Orleans must of been living high atop of some non existent hill in the French Quarter when Katrina struck.

I wonder if a person who commits suicide ever understood how much pain they were gonna leave behind or was that in fact their real intent.

Sometimes when all hope is gone it leads to a new beginning.

United Airlines cancelled flights to my hometown of Winnipeg on New Years eve because it was too cold and in fact was colder than the North Pole. I remember this time of year back home very well and it’s why I have remained south of the Mason Dixon line for most of my adult life.

Influence lasts 10 times longer than Power does.

I love when Women are working you but the problem is once you give them whatever it was they were working you for they have a tendency to stop but we notice and just make ’em work us harder the next time.

If you don’t pay any taxes you should only get what you paid for.

If you’re not part of the powerful you’re definitely one of the ones being discriminated against. Discrimination is not just limited to the ones who are the noisiest about it.

Remember when you used to be afraid to take a two week vacation because the whole Radio industry would change and you’d have to play catch up when you got back. Now your afraid because you know they would figure out how to do your job without you.

My wish for Camera Anne Johns Summerfield for 2014 is that she finally realizes she’s exactly who I think she is.

Isn’t being “Politically Correct” just an accepted form of lying.

So here is the formula for becoming a huge air talent. Just go on the air and pretend you’re that guy everybody likes to hang out with. You know, the guy at the parties everybody is gathered around because he says stuff that’s very clever. Never be yourself! Would you listen to your next door neighbor for more than 10 minutes.

Why are white males the only Americans who can be discriminated against without fear of reprisal.

I believe that to give is more important than to receive but I’m getting rather bored with it.

It is being reported that my home town of Winnipeg which is in the middle of a deep freeze is currently the same temperature as the service of Mars which is uninhabitable. For some reason a lot of my friends who still live there don’t realize that.

Seeing as you really only live in the “now” you might as well do it now.

Who lies more about their circumstances, the people who claim to be rich or those who claim they’re poor.
