You learn with your ears, not your mouth.

Uber figured out how to be the biggest taxi company in the world without owning any cars. However, Zuck took it even further by having the Facebook subscribers supply the content and then he got all the radio stations to promote it for free. Brilliant!

The greatest color-blind respect occurred during the Olympics when Michael said to the press corp, “I’m gonna play defense; Larry will shoot for me.”

How come women don’t call out the rappers who use sexist language on their recordings or the transgenders who compete in women’s sports?

If you can do something, shouldn’t you do it right now?

The Republicans are about money; the Democrats are about laws and neither of them is about us.

According to my brother, the broadcasting industry got Zucked. Reg explains the why, how, and who of it in his video below. (Please share with our fellow victims)

Radio Geo’s Media Blog. (The Element of Hipness) New 3/17/24

A lightbulb went off the day I realized that Disneyland and Disney World were like all carnivals, except their roller coasters were cleverly disguised—roller coasters.
Realizing that most things on the radio were pretty ordinary, I decided to figure out how to bring an element of hipness to the most ordinary elements.

At the time, we needed to disguise that #WNAP, hoping to appeal to a larger, was becoming squarer.
We moved all the deep album cuts from the daytime to midnight with a promo that said, “There’s not enough time in the day to play all the great music, so the Buzzard has added an extra hour.

We hoped our becoming squarer would go largely unnoticed because losing our hipness could kill us.
That extra hour, which we named the “25th Hour,” became legendary, and the only music we talked about all day on the air was the music that would be featured that night at midnight.

Oh yeah, and then there was “Fantasy Park,” which featured nothing but live cuts of AOR bands all weekend long.
The Buzzard Boys did such a great job that police banged on our door and said that we had to tell the folks that the concert wasn’t real. We told them that we disclosed that every fifteen minutes, but the listeners didn’t want to hear it.

An even bigger example was the WNAP Raft Race, which rivaled the Indy 500.
Unfortunately, it had to be shut down after eight years because the roads and highways for miles around the event would come to a complete standstill, endangering lives when emergency vehicles couldn’t get through the traffic jam.

However, in reality, the raft race was nothing more than an ordinary concert in a park with ordinary bands.
However, folks got to ask their buddies the much hipper question, “Are ya going to the Raft Race, Man?

@Tim Moore: George, only to be you! There was Cary Grant, Bob Redford, and even James Dean…but there’s only one George Johns! (To All The Ladies I adore)
Geo: That might be a good thing, Tim.

@Wendy Holmes: Beautiful breasts give and take pleasure, but guns have the power to take lives. Therefore, guns are more powerful. The power of pleasure is instilled in us in order to procreate. (Love & Hate)
Geo: I’d like to hear a gay person’s take on that, Wendy.

Does anybody know where the Democrats stand on Pedophile’s rights?

Scammers are going to be the first to take advantage of AI.

If radio ever wants to become important again, it must put characters back on the air.

Who does the CIA protect, us or a few rich guys? I know, stupid question, right?

Cuz you believe it to be true, don’t make it so.

Only when Lobbyists are eliminated will America be great again.

I wonder why our founding fathers thought that even though religion caused most wars, it could coexist in America.

In order for someone to succeed, someone else must fail.

I know of few men looking for wives, but I do know a bunch of women looking for husbands.

Saying the words, don’t take this the wrong way, has never been successful.

Who is it that decides what world leaders the CIA should assassinate?

It’s impossible to hear the truth while talking.

Everything appears racial today, even if it ain’t.

I find it ironic that most of the people demanding respect don’t deserve it.

I find it intriguing that even though they have the largest workforce in the nation, the government produces no revenue.

How many folks do you suppose would march in protest if the cops only killed the drug dealers?

When everything is your fault, you’ll be making huge money

I agree, “Thou shalt not hit a woman,” but I must admit that they occasionally they make it very tempting.

When I moved to Indianapolis from Toronto in the early ’70s, I was horrified to learn that because Indiana was divided during the Civil War, brothers were killing each other.

Everything we’re being told is probably more opinion than fact.

Successful people are those who can resist temptation the longest.

The smartest man in the room is the one who not only hangs out with smart people; he hires them.
