As you may know, I have two daughters, a twenty and a forty-year-old and how that all came about is best told over adult beverages. Unfortunately, Candis and Cami don’t get to see each other as often as I would like them to mostly because Candis lives in Los Angeles and Cami goes to college in Tampa.Recently I traveled to LA with Cami for a party that my good friends Bob and Jan were throwing in their beautiful home in Simi Valley which was one of those very rare occasions where I actually got to be with both of my daughters. It was while standing around drinking some fine wine and chatting with old friends that Candis asked me if I’d gone through some changes recently. When I asked her what she was talking about she said that she couldn’t help but notice that her little sister was wandering about with what appeared to be a never empty magic wine glass.(see photo above with Cami Tay & Jan) She went on to say that it reminded her about being at a cocktail party with me once where when I asked what she was drinking and she told me that it was white wine she claimed a horrified look came over my face. I actually thought you were going to spank me and the weird part Dad was that I was actually 38 at the time.

I think the thing I may dislike the most about Hillary is the fact that she is married to the man who ruined radio. The thing I dislike about Trump is the fact that he thinks he is much smarter than the rest of us. Oh yeah, let’s see him fix, radio.

George: In your opinion, if a radio station sounds great (and by that I mean exciting, promotionally-active and has a real personality to it people and sound-wise)(and assuming signal umbrella covers the entire market adequately), don’t you think that advertisers will WANT to be on the station ? I remember walking through Castleton Square Mall in the mid-1970s and WNAP was on in almost every store. I do not recall hearing WIFE in stores after 1970 nor was WNDE (when it was a WLS-type Top 40 that could have originated in Omaha). Even with the spot-load, WIBC almost always sounded like a winner. Every aircheck I heard from KVIL was special. Yes, you had these stations programmed for the listener, but if you were an advertiser that wanted to be where the audience was (even though the rates were high), why would your ads to be on a station where that sounded flat and second-rate ?
My experience Jed was that the ratings were always one book behind the truth. When you heard the station everywhere was the time to buy ’cause the rates were cheap but were gonna be very expensive real soon.
