You’re right Bruce, I must of had a senior moment which caused my typing finger to stop listening to my brain which happens quite often.
So iHeart Radio (changing your name from Clear Channel doesn’t mean we still don’t know you’re the same evil empire) has decided that the way to save money for their CEO’s bottom line (including a $2,000,000. renovation of his corporate office whcih includes a mist tunnel as you enter) is to fire the on air staff, then fire the PD’s, then the GM’s, and now finally, the sales staff. Seriously? Whoever let those damned bean counters enter through radio’s back door should be ashamed of themselves.
I remember when accountants only accounted and programmers actually programmed radio stations. I also remember, it was pretty damned successful.
I think it all started Dougie back when we used to stuff all the accountants in little offices out back with the engineers. Looks like they were a little pissed about it and now are taking their revenge. You don’t hear about any accountants getting fired do you. Maybe we should have thrown a little restaurant trade at them back in the day.
